Lighten Your Load, launched in 2007, became an annual campaign to raise employee awareness around the carbon cost of data storage: The relationship between one’s everyday digital activity and the amount of energy required for data processing and storage.
We delivered the campaign in 11 languages, providing tips and simple steps on how to manage email overload and reduce the general need for storage. In addition, the campaign included a global competition that highlighted employees who were able to most significantly reduce their personal data requirements.
